Did you know I can cook! Well Mr Crittall has got our class to cook, me and Luke (My buddy) Make some Muffins last week. And although I did get some egg on the counter the muffins were delicious. Oh and don’t worry I cleaned up the egg no problem.
Well that was just the start, this week all three of us (Me Luke and Melissa) made omelets. We mixed up two eggs and then grated up some cheese. We poured the egg into a frying pan and made sure it didn’t burn when it was brown on the bottom we added cheese and folded it. I gave mine to Mr. Crittall as I don’t eat egg and he said it was great, He sure did wolf it done fast. Luke said his was great and Melissa ate all hers although I think she made scrambled eggs rather than an omelet, but Mr. Crittall didn’t mind as long as she did it. I wonder what we will make next week? By Jordan

We have got through our first week back at school.
We have found out that our New teacher is from England and so says some funny things sometimes. He also has Dyslexia and we noticed that he made some mistakes on the forms he sent out for swimming, He says he doesn't mind if we point out any mistakes, as everyone makes mistakes at some point or other he just makes a few more than most. On the plus side We have done some baking, We have been eating those muffins all week. We have also been out to the 2 dollar sores in town and we have been coloring some fall pictures. Mr Crittall has come up with a period B plan for us and we will try to follow it until it starts to (shh) snow. Mondays - Swimming (Woohoo) Tuesday - Visit to Library in town Wednesday - Shopping day Thursday - Cooking something for lunch day. Friday - Art work day. This school year, we welcome a new teacher to our DL program here at the JDSS.
Graden Crittall has been teaching in the Bluewater board for nine years, and previously has talked both in the UK as well as spending one year teaching in Kenya. Graden first became interested in teaching special needs while in the UK while working in a co-located school. ( Two schools sharing one site, both operating independently of sharing some of the facilities. One was a"mainstream" school, and one was a "special education" school. During His prep time he would bring classes into the mainstream schools to teach them science, as well as spending time with them in their home classes. Graden spent the last seven years running running the special education programs at Peninsula Shores and most recently Kincardine where he was working with our new principal Mr. DeKraker. I'm sure you will join the staff in making him feel welcome at this his new school. |
